Dr. Elif Sibel Aslan is a faculty member at Biruni University, specializing in Molecular Biology and Genetics. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Erciyes University and later pursued a Master’s degree in Applied Microbiology at Westminster University, UK, where she deepened her expertise in microbial applications and biotechnological innovations. She then advanced her academic career by undertaking PhD studies at London Metropolitan University, focusing on iron deficiency anemia, a critical global health issue. During her doctoral studies, she actively contributed as a lecturer, sharing her knowledge in molecular biology and genetics with students.Since 2014, Dr. Aslan has been an integral part of Biruni University, where she has played a key role in shaping its academic and research landscape. She has served as Head of the Molecular and Medical Genetics Department for Master’s and PhD programs, fostering cutting-edge research and mentoring numerous students in the field.
