Knowledge and awareness of the impact of epigenetics on inflammation and cancer and the effects of nutrients and metabolism on this process are critical for nurses, especially those at the forefront of patient care and education in the era of personalized medicine. It is indisputable that nutrition affects the epigenome. This dynamic connection between nutrition and genes provides great insight into how to target health promotion and disease prevention from a nutritional perspective.

In our study, we retrospectively examined the changes in our clients' clinical presentations according to their clinical history and genetics, depending on whether they preferred supplements or not.
