Prof. Dr. Zuhal KUNDURACILAR is a physiotherapist and rehabilitation specialist with extensive experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, metabolic and musculoskeletal disorders, geriatrics, and health tourism. Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions to clinical practice, academic research, and healthcare education. She was graduated from Hacettepe University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1986. She worked as a specialist physiotherapist at Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital between 1986 and 2000. During this period, she earned her Master’s degree in Health Sciences from Hacettepe University in 1991, followed by a Ph.D. in 1998. Between 2000 and 2011, she served as a founding faculty member at Başkent University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. From 2011 to 2018, she was a founding faculty member and Chair of the Department at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. Additionally, she contributed as the International Relations Coordinator (2012-2014) and served as a Board Member of the Diabetes and Obesity Research Center (2016-2018).Her leadership extended to Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University (2018-2019), where she chaired the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. Since 2019, she has been serving as the Chair of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Hamidiye Health Sciences Faculty, University of Health Sciences, Istanbul. She is also the Head of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department at the Hamidiye Institute of Health Sciences.Prof. Dr. Kunduracılar has conducted extensive clinical research and academic studies in areas such as cardiac surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology surgery, urology, anesthesia and reanimation, lung diseases, and geriatric rehabilitation. Her expertise in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation has been particularly impactful.
