Dr. Meyselon Artun is a General Practitioner, Dialysis Physician, and Occupational Physician currently working at Istanbul Cam and Sakura City Hospital. With a strong background in general medicine, nephrology, and physiology, Dr. Artun has developed a keen interest in psychological and neurodegenerative disorders, particularly in the epigenetic and nutrigenetic factors influencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, insomnia, panic disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (especially mania), addictions, obsessive-compulsive disorders, aggression, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, stress intolerance, and eating disorders. Her research also focuses on COMT and MAO gene polymorphisms and their role in psychiatric health. Dr. Artun completed her medical education at Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, and pursued further specialization in General Surgery at Istanbul Bezm-i Alem Vakıf University, Physiology at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, and Nephrology (Dialysis Physician) at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Artun is actively involved in epigenetics and nutrigenetics education, particularly in their applications to psychiatric disorders. She serves as an instructor in the Epigenetic Coaching training program, where she educates professionals on the integration of epigenetic and nutrigenetic approaches in psychiatric and neurological health management. Her work aims to bridge the gap between genetic predisposition, environmental influences, and personalized medicine for improved patient outcomes.
