Esma Gökçen Alper Acar is a dedicated biologist with a strong academic background in Molecular Biology and Genetics, Medical Biology, and Nutrition and Dietetics. She has a keen interest in Molecular Genetics, Epigenetics, and Nutrigenetics, focusing on personalized health strategies through scientific research and development. Her research involvement includes TÜBİTAK 2209A projects, such as the ‘Production of Deoxynucleoside Triphosphates (dNTP) Using Deoxynucleoside Monophosphates in the Laboratory’, an eco-friendly and cost-effective bioprocess, and ‘Investigation of the Relationship Between Idiopathic Male Infertility and Seminal Plasma HSP90-ALFA Protein Level.’ She has actively contributed to international congresses, including the 8th Hippocrates Congress and the 2nd International Epigenetic Congress, where she presented studies on nutrigenetics panels for clinical applications, the epigenetic effects of quercetin on detoxification genes, the health impact of resveratrol, and the role of sulforaphane and coffee components in gut microbiota modulation. Additionally, she authored a book chapter in ‘Reviews in Medical and Health Science Methodology, Research and Practice’ (Chapter XIV: The Relationship of Nutrition with the Immune System and Some Diseases, Livre De Lyon 2022).
