Nisa Nur Alshurafa started studying at Biruni University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (English) with a full scholarship in 2019. While at the university, she worked as a magazine and website writer at Biruni University Molecular Biology and Genetics Club (MBGEN) between 2020-2023, and served as the head of social media content of the club between 2022-2023. In 2022, she received approval from the TÜBİTAK project titled 'The effect of 10-methyl-thio-colchicine on chordoma pathogenesis'. She completed her Erasmus internship at Lund University, Sweden, in the summer of 2023. She did a voluntary internship in two different laboratories at Biruni University. She attended Nutrigenetics and Epigenetics Coaching training at the beginning of 2024. She graduated from Biruni University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (English) in June 2024.
